The Whitefields Band welcomes you. We play a blues based psych/pop rock style of original music. I have worked and toured with over a dozen Grammy winning acts and we have received favorable reviews from Rolling Stone, Listen.com and many other magazines and websites. We have had two number one songs in the psychedellic genre at MP3.COM. Number one artist at Virtual Radio and have received limited radio play around the world.

If you do a search at google.com the first two pages of hits will all have something to do with our band and music.
Why this name?
We started out as the the Robert Lee Whitefield Blues Band when my son and cousin joined the group we became the Whitefields. It seemed a logical move and we are pleased with it. Most people think we are going to be a blugrass group not a progressive jam band.
Do you play live?
Yes we play out as much as possible. We do outdoor festivals, shows, concerts opening acts for major signed acts.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Access. It is all about accessibility to music. It is a tool for indie artists to show what they have got.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Only if it was a power deal for us and we had creative control, a huge budget for promotion and a well thought out strategy to hang in there for the long run. Otherwise we enjoy what we are doing and will stick with that - producing our own CD's and merchandising.
