Why this name?
It's my own name..
Do you play live?
I have played live on many occasions and with diverse bands/acts in the past, and have good as well as bad memento's of them. However, the music i make now doesn't suite live performance very well. My goal now is to please the glass of wine, later in the evening. I'm currently working on soundtracks.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
There is lots of more room for the independent artist to get his/her baby's heard. This is the most rewarding compliment for a musician. I think we are entering a very interesting era with a wide variety of possibility's and i have made it my greatest effort to use them all.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Depends on the offer, altough i think my music is not 'mainstream' enough to sell large numbers of it. I do like to be independent and my music to be non exclusive. Most of my music and collaborations can be found on the indielabel its about music.com
Band History:
"Knowledge speaks, Wisdom listens"

The musical history of my life started in the reggae band So What!. Many numbers we've played were covers of pop songs wich we transformed into reggae style. The most succesfull songs were: Fire from the Pointer Sisters and Losing my religion from R.E.M. (1986 - 1987)

The Unknown I had the urgent need to create my own songs instead of endlessly playing existing works and left the band before I had a nervous breakdown. Then 'a friend for life' came along with the same need and a bass guitar. Robin and I started to write songs and lyrics and before we knew it we were performing them in the rock formation The Unknown. After ten nervous breakdowns a week we decided to break up after a few years. These were probably the best years of my live. (1989 - 1993)

Tbone & the wizzard of Ozz Another friend and excellent musician/songwriter is Jeroen. The music and lyrics were so beautiful that you cannot listen to them without getting emotional. We were real close and he was so natural born for music that I wish that I could go back into time and never come back no more..

Own studio After doing a couple of auditions in ex(orc)isting bands I started to build my own studio, because a studio does not argue about how, when or why I should or should'nt do this or that. That is a great relief, I now have only 20 nervous breakdowns a day!!! Then I ran into the producer/songwriter Lesly Laverman. This man expanded my vision in songwriting, arranging and producing. He is my best friend and I am his annoying questionmark!..@? If there is anyone in my life that I LOVE to work with, then he is the one.

During this period I co-produced the boysband WHAT NEXT! The executive was the highly talented and dedicated Milene. We realy came a long way and never unrewarded. I'm sure we'll write together again someday maybe soon. And of course, I love you too.

Never Again! Then Robin (The Unknown) called to tell me about this rockband 'Never Again!'. I was soon introduced to the Boyz and we recorded 7 songs in one weekend in a studio in Kampen/the Netherlands. Unlimited breakdowns of course, but heee, The results were great!

Rear view mirror (2004)
Our new electronic album featuring music with diverse musicians and technicians i have collaborated with recently is Out Now! Award winning tracks Attitude X and Chants Resonique are included. Somewhere in the creation process i was very lucky to have crossed the tunes of keyboard wizard Scott Hill from the UK. We started to compose together, using originality & experimentation as our guidelines. The files swirled over the internet as well as the styles in our music. We are very proud of the results and decided to place them on this album.

Guardian Angel (2004)

The first album of Pasco, a dynamic electronic music project.

Our story begins in the Interstellar Transit Lounge. In the year 2116 Interplanetary travel is commonplace. Our travellers are on a scientific mission enroute to Mars... The Polemological Alien Science Culture Organisation (PASCO) is on a critical mission to learn more about conflicts between alien cultures... Mankind has developed intelligent, multi-tasking robots that will take care of all drudgeries...However, on Earth the "Rise Of The Machines" (ROTM) begins as the robots turn on their makers to establish a new order...Power to the Machines!

Syzygy (2005)

The saga continuous.

The stereo version of the second Pasco album 'Syzygy' is so cool. Twelve brand new electronic tracks in different style's to resonate some nerves you didn't know you had. Unlimited imagination in a dramatic science fiction setting as our hero's are on their next mission to save mankind. Meet the 'Icklyquae' and travel thrue the 'wastelands of Nibiru', which are shrouded in 'Dark Vapours'. Dwell in the 'Mare Infinitum' and jump in XLR-8. The only limitation is your fantasy...

Syzygy 5.1 DVD Audio disc (2005)

The SyZyGy 5.1 multichannel surroundsound version is Available Now!! The hardcopy is a DVD-audio disc and Digital Downloads come in WMA format. Dolby Digital and DTS formats (pro) on request. (mail me)

PASCO's epic "GUARDIAN ANGEL" Science Fiction Adventure Story (2005)

The complete play contains ten chapters and the duration is almost two and a half hours all-together. The complete play is available on two CD's (dual) and as Digital Downloads as well.

You can listen to a podcast of the 'Guardian Angel' Radio Play. The demo contains excerpts of three chapters of the play.

Rationality (2006)

i've remixed my personal favourites with the latest technology so forget everything you've heared before... By using 360 degree stereo rotation techniques and adding sub levels, counter melodies, new sequences and sounds i've managed to create a crystal clear wide and deep environment of the highest quality that will inspire you like never before. The overral sound is coming at you from all directions in the largest possible frequency range.

So here we are... Updated and ready to go... 'Life is always changing, Be like water, my friend...'
Your influences?
I am a big fan of Jean Michel Jarre and have al his work @ home. The first time i heard his music i was eight years old and it was from the album Oxygene. Instantly i knew what i should do with my life. Other influences in electronic music are Vangelis, Enigma, Tomita (all the big names) and a wide variety of independent artists. With some of them i have worked on music in our homes, in studio's all over the Netherlands and in my homestudio as well as on/over the internet.
Favorite spot?
My homestudio...
