Did you know that good news is also spelled 'gospel' in some circles? Probably you do. And non-Christians believe this too. I hope you are a Christian of any denomination.

I love God and music and musicians (in that order). This is not an exhaustive list of what I love.
Why this name?
My real name is John and sometimes I am wan, hence the name juanjohn. "johnjuan" would also do for my bandname; but this sounds too much like "Don Juan."
Do you play live?
Yes, I play live. I play in church and other places (mostly retirement homes and/or nursing homes.) I love to perform live. When I perform live, all moments are special to me.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet allows for many musicians to communicate with each other almost instantaneously--I believe this has to be good for the music industry. Mp3 and other forms of compression provide a swifter way of exchanging digital voice and music files which also require less space to be stored on digital media of all kinds.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes. But I am more interested in writing music than performing it; however, I sing and play mostly by ear. I don't read or write music in standard notation well.
Band History:
My first musical instrument was purchased in 1961. It is a Martin 00-28GL guitar which I am still fond of playing. Until recently I used my guitars mostly to accompany my singing. Now I am learning to play solos on the guitar. My mamdolin playing is very rudimentary and mostly selftaught. I am mostly selftaught on all of the instruments which I play; but I have taken about two dozen guitar lessons in recent years mostly.
Your influences?
Expect anything--I am eclectic and have many composers and/or artists who have influenced my musical tastes, especially the Classical composers--I am particularly fond of Brahms, Beethoven, Bach, Mozart, Berlioz, and later composers of a more modern sound. I believe that every composer/artist owes an inestimable debt to all of his favorite artists and composers, and I have listened to a lot of music of all kinds from all over our world.
Favorite spot?
Where am I at the moment? (Read this carefully.)
I am most comfortable singing praises to the Lord in any Christian church.

Equipment used:
A Korg Triton proX keyboard/workstation is in my inventory of equipment--along with six guitars and a mandolin.
Anything else...?
As Ray Stevens so aptly wrote it, "Everything Is Beautiful In Its Own Way." Listen to the song so that you won't misunderstand this statement.
