Why this name?
Sounds good
Do you play live?
We constantly tour across Scotland and have dates organised in England too.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
In a way its crippling it but for the unsigned artist it is much easier to be noticed and for their material to be heard.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Of course we would! But we would not be told what to play or how to record it, we would have to have our own say or it wouldn't work.
Band History:
We formed five years ago, whilst still at school. Five years, two name changes and a few demos later The Fightblues are fast becoming a locally established outfit
The band back up their sound with a superb live show. Local gigs have drawn in large crowds and led to support slots with established artists such as Medium 21, Easyworld and Adom.
The summer of 2003 saw the band embark on a mini tour across Scotland promoting 'The Dirty Angel E.P' demo. Playing across the country and coming away with rave reviews.
The promotion of the E.P led to the band being invited to meet with a London based Management Company. The meeting was successful and future involvement is likely.
Recently an independent record label also contacted the band. Their track 'The Gas Light' is to appear on a compilation album featuring some of the country's best unsigned bands.

Your influences?
We are influenced by guitar bands with creative effects in the song. Bands like Primal Scream, The COoper Temple Clause, Pink FLoyd are our main influences but we like to think we have our own sound
Favorite spot?
The green green grass of Navarone
