Hi all, my name is Mark Robinson, currently 19 years old and trying to make my way into the crazy world of music. I'm primarily invlolved in instrumental guitar music at the moment, but I'm learning to sing so I can express myself better!
Why this name?
My parents chose it...I had no say in the matter.
Do you play live?
Yep I do. Only ever done one solo gig, have done plenty with other bands though, check out www.saturdaynightbeaver.co.uk
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Yes it does, for the better, gives the artists more control over their future.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
NO. Not without very good reason, independent success and one hell of a lawyer.
Band History:
Been playing since I was 12, grew up, went through school college, going to uni next year (although quite how long I'll stay there who knows!), been teaching guitar for this past year and it's been great.
Your influences?
Bumblefoot, Slash, Steve Vai, Guthrie Govan, Bjork, Jeff Buckley, Opeth, Dream Theatre, Eminem, Dr Dre (his production on Eminem records), Red Hot Chilli Peppers. You can't hear all of them just yet but you will. :-)
Favorite spot?
On top of any given mountain when it's snowing.
Equipment used:
Let me see.....Jackson Pro, Vigier Excaliber 7, Fender Standard Strat, Fender 12 String Acoustic, Yamaha acoustic, Marshall amps, a wah pedal.
