Welcome to the insane world of Spitroast, for years spitroast have progressed from a basic vulgar pop punk background to a slightly more mature sound, more of a live band as their local crowd will back up, spitroast like to offer entertainment on stage like you could only start to imagine, they will embarass, humiliate and intoxicate themselves for the pleasure of the people who go to watch them and offer you a fine selection of sick minded punk rock suitable for all ages!
Why this name?
through finding out the dirty meaning of it in the viz many moons ago
Do you play live?
we've played 20-30 gigs now, venues like The Room, Jacks Bar, Martell etc all in our home town, ventured to glasgow a few times to play venues like Fury Murrys & The Cathouse, too many special moments, go to our website for detailed reports, gigs are what we live for!
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
i think the odd egotistical signed band may disagree with it, but i love the exposure it offers bands like ourselves, im all for it
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
in the end everyone would love to be able to make a living doing what they enjoy, and if the terms were right then yeah, probably, but its more about entertaining people and having a laugh for us, we wouldnt turn it down, but we wont go out our way to try and get signed

Band History:
Formed - 2000 (drop out school band)
still 4 original members, spent the last few years playing gigs and causing havoc, and pretty much cant remember much of the details because of it, the band have been completely alcohol fuelled, only managed to play 2 gigs sober and that was coz the cathouse made us agree to play sober the 2 times we played there

Your influences?
to be honest we sound like a cross between Lit, Nerf Herder, Nirvana, Take That, Roy Chubby Brown & Green Day.... in fact if they were all to have a gang bang with musical instruments, theyd prolly end up writing us a song
