Soul (The Artist)

What happens when you mix a little Al Jarreau, Marvin Gaye and Luther Vandross with John the Baptist and the Psalmist, David? You get a lotta Soul! Soul represents Christ with music that is smoothe and soulful. After nearly 20 years of being "ahead of his time" musically as far as the genres in Christian Music would allow, he comes ministering the Gospel in a way that's both fresh and new. Thanks partly to pioneers in the industry from Andre Crouch to Fred Hammond and Kirk Franklin and more recently "Nureau" recording artist, Tonex (a genre that previously had no place in Christian music stores so a "new row" had to be created). What was once considered too worldly or not "Christian" enough is now being accepted by an audience that spans the globe. Soul believes in bringing the message to the world in a culturally relevant way. Determined to reclaim the airwaves for God, he writes music that mixes the old school with the new. "I'm so tired of listening to "great" songs from the past and sadly thinking... "They don't make music like they used to." "My desire is to be like Jesus and 'touch the lepers' of today. God has not called me to merely pray for them. He's called me to go to them, touch them and love them out. God has done so much for me. Hopefully, people will see my life and believe that there is hope." Soul sings and preaches that message of hope where ever God will lead. "When it all boils down, the only thing left is truth and integrity. Just minister sincerely, be true to your calling and let God bring the increase. Jesus is the reason... So keep the main thang the main thang!"
