Why this name?
We wanted a name that had no associations.
Do you play live?
Playing live is the only way to go.
If you make it big..?
We'll never charge $60 to play 90 minutes - that sucks.
Band History:
HP has shared the stage with such names as: The Recipe, Ekoostik Hookah, Jerry Joseph & the Jackmormons, Blueground Undergrass, The Slip, Edwin McCain, Col. Bruce Hampton, Rubberneck, Derek Trucks, North Mississippi All-Stars, Kudzu Kings, Brother Cane, Soul Asylum, Marshall Tucker Band and many others. HP was also featured on "The Dunhams" - Z93 (Atlanta, GA) in March of 2000.
Since it’s formation in late 1997, Hannaward Pass has received a positive response all over the southeast. The band has built a loyal fan base stretching from Louisiana to the Carolinas and everywhere in between. With its mixture of hard driving rhythms, energized melodies, and southern drawn vocals, classifying the band is quite a task. Nevertheless, this could be the greatest contributing factor to the band’s current success. They toured the Southeast extensively in 1999, playing more than 140 dates.
