Faith Based Blues and more
Our sound is "Muddy Waters meets Little Feat.." add a touch of Stanley Clark funk, mix it all together with a classic rock feel, and you have hit it pretty closely..
The vocals are strong, sometimes throaty, sometimes soaring but always solid. The lyrics carry a message of hope and truth, based on the lives we experience and our understanding that God is real.

Why this name?
We are brothers and sisters under Christ's blood. The reason for the uncommon spelling is fourfold. 1-the "U" in Blud reminds us that we are UNDER the blood. 2-in older english (circa Thomas Jefferson) "blood" meant the actual liquid stuff in our veins, while "blud" meant traceable family tree relations. 3-the unusual spelling will help people remember us. 4-and finally "blud" is right before "blue" alphabetically, which puts us at the top of any list with "blues" in it..
Do you play live?
Lots.. Prisons, churches, bars, festivals, benefits, biker rallies.. wherever God leads us.. There have been many special moments, like the time when old people in a very traditional church, actually got up and danced!
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It gives many more groups the opportunity to share what they do and who they are. It also lowers the average recording quality of what audiences get to hear, because there are lots of people who need further education in recording before they go releasing substandard stuff.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Perhaps.. It would depend on what was offered and whether the offer would fit with our plan of action..
Band History:
I have been performing since I was a child (age 8). I started playing in bands in my middle teen years, and have been performing fairly consistently during that entire period (and I am 50 now!) The rest of the band formed around me in multiple types of groupings including jam bands and worship teams, until last October of 2001 when we added Roscoe, our keyboard guy. In December we went into the studio and in May we released our first CD "Not What You Think!"
Your influences?
