Bluespecker picks up the Blues. Three experienced musicians grouped around guitarist Werner "Flamingstratman" Lindner who plays in several other bands and projects and likes to jam in the London bluesjam scene. Please use the message board to give us your opinions about the songs or just to say "hello".
There is more music from Werner Lindner on the soundclick flamingstratman site where you can find solo pieces, internet collaborations, demos, live tracks and more.
On the soundclick site of "What´s Up" you´ll find some more of Werner´s original music played with his 60`s cover band.
Why this name?
We first thought of Bluesbird as a reference to the Yardbirds. We made up the guitar and bird logo...suddenly our bassman said : look a bluespecker.
Do you play live?
We´re trying to do some more gigs this year. Last year we had quite a good success at the "1. Helmstedter Jazz- und Bluesnacht", playing to an audience of a few hundreds.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Hope it will give musicians the independence they deserve.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Don´t know.
