Born in Atlanta, GA and raised on the east coast Virginia, Dc, New York City, FS1 has the skills to pay the bills. FS1 has lived up and down the east coast until he moved with his mom to dc at age 15 from the South Bronx area of New York city. The constant moving somewhat troubled his childhood but influenced him to write different styles of music as he adapted to culture of the different cities he has lived. His influences range from Jayz, Rakim, Nas as well 80's known rappers like MS SHAN,and KRS-1. By the age 16, FS1 begin to make career aspirations to became a rap star. Performing several local shows as well as making connections in the DC area, FS1 has appeared on numerous albums and mix tapes by local artist. Still not satisfied with the buzz in the local area he put out a single “am I pleasing you” on Mp3.com. The single stayed #1 for 4 weeks. FS1 followed up on his buzz by appearing on two locally released albums “Pressure Points” and his solo release “The Streets Must Know”. Both only opened up to mild success.Although, FS1 has a street buzz in the Washington, DC area and the surrounding areas all of his projects were funded by the artist. The Area of Washington does not have any reputable artist that labels can draw a blue print from. This means in order for this artist or any artist from this area to find a market a major label has to be willing to give a talented and gifted artist the chance and budget to represent the area to its full capacity. “ I think signing me as an artist would be a great gain to any label, and the ones who pass on me will regret it” says FS1
