True thug music. Raised in the streets of Richmond (Ca.), Detrimental has experienced the wild side of life to the fullest. Shot three times and raised by the gun, this artist tells it like it is. This self-proclaimed "wil' child wit a wil' style" has decided to emerge from the shadows of street life and make his name in the rap game. He detests "happy rappin'" and refuses to compromise on either his music or his lyrics.
Why this name?
Basically I felt that I was hazardous to other artists' health. I did a background check on being hazardous to a person's health and the word was detrimental.
Do you play live?
Most definitely. Vibin' with the people is the most important thing. Givin' your fans they money worth
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It gets your music to the people that you can't get it to.

I belong to a family of artists called the Terracata Family which includes Nutso, Mob CIN, NTO, Street thungs.

Scarface, C-bo, the real gunnin niggas.
Favorite spot?
Richmond, Ca

Most my beats come from PaperTrail Productions. One of the few places where you can get true thug music.
