Elliot Levine has toured with Wilson Pickett and Heatwave (Always & Forever/Boogie Nights) and has opened for Brian McKnight, Freddie Jackson, and McCoy Tyner. He has had the #1 song on mp3.com, the world’s largest Internet music site with over 1,000,000 downloads. This amazing feat was mentioned in the Wall Street Journal. His playing has been described by Jazz Times as "showing remarkable talent." In 2003, he scored the music to an Emmy nominated documentary, "Teens in Between", which was featured in Film Festivals. His music was also used on "Inside the NBA" on TBS (2001), as well as an independent college movie, "Friends With Benefits" (2003). How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It changed it about 4 years ago, when it was possible to be internationally recognized without a record deal. Since then, there hasn't been the push and promotion of sites like this one.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Depending....Major Labels suck
