Yup, this is Chikelu. ummmm, yeah....not much to say....this is my music, just acapellas for right now. I don't have anyone to produce for me just yet. SO, if you produce and you have an ill instrumental that you think would fit my lyrics on a certain song, lemme know through my email. And if anyone wants to do a collaboration or somethin, I'm usually down with that too.
Why this name?
Ha, this is my middle name. I really like it, but peeps mispronounce it alot, but it's all good though.
Do you play live?
No, I've never really played anything live. Just rappin with friends and among other people.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Well, it depends on what aspect of the internet your talking about. There's a good and a bad, y'know? On one side, you have artist that alot of radio stations, labels, etc. won't ever deal with simply because they don't fit a certain mold. These guys actually have a chance to get their music heard. On the other hand, you have starving artist who are trying to make a few dollars (they won't make much off of album sells alone) off of selling their music. But the internet gives plenty of chance to get their music without cost.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Probably not, I'd rather have my own label instead of dealing with a major one. It seems like if a major label and myself ended up in a big dispuit, I'd be likely to lose. So, no thanks.
Your influences?
Canibus and Nas...I like alot of artist, but I think that those two have a greater musical influence on me than anyone else.
