Death Metal band from Portugal. The music is something between old-school and modern, or between brutal and melodic Death Metal. You can also find some touches of Thrash, Heavy or Black here and there.
Why this name?
Theriomorphic means: with the form of a beast. It is used as the opposite of the theory that man was made as the image of God. It's man as natural animal and not a divine creation.
Do you play live?
Yes, every time we have the chance to do it. In clubs, festivals or whatever may come up. Of course we like it! Maybe the best moments till now were playing at the Headbangers Fest in 2002 (with Sodom, Destruction, Dismember, Satyricon, Sinister, Impaled Nazxarene, and a few more), at the Butchery At Christmas Time 2003 (with Avulsed, Grog, Goldenpyre and other fine Death Metal bands) and at the Steel Warriors' Rebellion VII in 2004 (with Akercocke, Dead Infection, Machetazo, Fermento, Negura Bunget, and many more...).
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It is a powerfull way of making your music reach people from all over the World. On the other hand, there are many who only see it as a way of getting lots of music for free, not caring for the investment that others had to make to have that music recorded.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
In Metal music, major labels are not the only interesting options for a record contract. Sometimes, they won't give you the necessary promotion because they have others priorities. We would have to think it over before deciding if it would be the best choice.
Your influences?
We can say we have influences of bands like Hypocrisy, At The Gates, Dismember, Vader and many others. It's more what comes out when we're writing. We don't really follow any particular rules about that.
