“Alternative rock” trio with 5 years experience from the Kansas City Area. With a few member changes recently, Unified Front has been out of the music scene for a few months. After touring the United States heavily last year, playing close to 200 shows, UF returns this spring as a power trio with a honed and mature sound. They are currently working a third full CD release. The unmastered and rough mix cuts from this upcoming album are the tracks currently available.

We can possibly be described as an emotional, musical rock journey. Not to be confused with emo. Soaring vocals, sometimes reminicent of radiohead, layered over heavy backbeats and rocking guitars. A landscape that is gently floating at one moment - silently screaming the next. A musical journey with a hard rock destination - but with lighter and peaceful stops before arrival.

Peace
Why this name?
Unified Front basically means standing up for yourself and what you believe in, think, feel ect... The "Unified" part of our name gives a nod to the idea of being unified with others that have similiar beliefs, thoughts, feelings emotions ect...
Do you play live?
Yes. We have played all across the United States. Close to 400 shows in the last two years. So many special moments - I cant even begin to go into them here.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think it gives independent bands like us - who work our butts off - some exposure.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Totally depends on the contract. If your asking if our music will change because someone will pay us money to write and sing what THEY want us to write and sing - no. Though a good producer is priceless.
Band History:
Been arround for Five years. Gone through some line up changes - especially recently. Won several local music awards - toured and played with signed bands repeatedly. Have had several singles hit the top twenty on the indie charts.
Your influences?
Incubus, Radiohead, Deftones, Live, Muse, Blindside...to many to count.
Equipment used:
Marshall guitar amps with Mesa triple rectifier. Ampeg bass gear. Custom made Warrior bass and electric guitars. Custom made Risen Drums.
