I'm Annubliss, a solo artist of the electronic music genre.
I've been building loops and melodies on my laptop computer for a few months now.
Music is a way for me to express myself, reflecting my moods and feelings whilst transcending the boundary of language.

Why this name?
From Annubis - Egyptian God and leader of lost souls.
Do you play live?
Random house parties and chill-out lounge sessions. Wherever I can basically.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Completely decentralises it - the money moguls can no longer dominate the industry dictating peoples tastes through the bland array of stylised and formulaic pop bands. Everyone can play an active part, be it accessing their favourite tracks online, virtual DJing with PC mixing programmes and internet radio, or putting something back into their scene by uploading their own music onto sites such as this. This is definately a change for the best!
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Ask me when that actually happens.
Band History:
Blagged a PC in 2003 and got a pirate copy of Reason 2.5 - self taught myself how to use it and started making my first tracks. 2004 - got hold of Acid Pro 4.0; learnt more about MIDI and EQ-ing. Still bedroom DJing.
Your influences?
Darkside Drum and Bass artists: Ed Rush and Optical for basslines, Mampi Swift for intros and drum loops. Innovators such as Roni Size (for rifts) and Aphex Twin (insane drum patterns and ambient backdrops). Old hardcore originators: Cloud 9, 2 Bad Mice, (I like the minimalism).
Techo artists: fond of Plastikman, System 7.
