ABANDON is an aggressive hard rock band that hails from Detroit, MI.
Why this name?
Chosen from the "Vicious Rumors" CD, 'Welcome To The Ball'. Shortened from the title 'Abandoned'. It was selected as a tribute to the band and their late singer, Carl Albert.

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
We feel that the internet has made it easier for bands to get seen and heard. The world is at our fingertips and if you don't take advantage of it, it's your loss.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
It depends on the aspects of the deal!
Band History:
Their new EP is was released in late March,2004 and it embodies a sound that Epitaph Magazine described as, MOTOR CITY STREET METAL.

ABANDON is not a band that follows trends, or let’s the media dictate what they should play or what they should look like. They are true to themselves as well as the many people that follow them.
The songs are fueled by the thick aggressive guitars of Mike Gross & Shawn Moore. The drive and punch of the band lies in it’s foundation of drummer Doug Kaye, bass player David Moore and the soaring, sometimes haunting melodies of vocalist Justin Babcock.
The band has the combined experience and pleasure to have shared the stages with such acts as:
WWIII, ZAKK WYLDE AND THE BLACK LABEL SOCIETY, BRAND NEW SIN, DEF LEPPARD, PANTERA, BLUE OYSTER CULT, ANIMYL, EDGAR WINTER, GREAT WHITE along with appearances at the VANS WARPED TOUR as well as showcasing for many of the different new music seminars across the country.
ABANDON strives to write, record and perform music that they believe in while delivering lyrics with an emotion and honesty that they feel is lacking in today’s music.
From the heavy melodies of HOME , the driving force of UNREALITY, the spiritual emotion of AWAKENED and the gothic feel of IN SORROW, you can feel the passion that this band puts into their art.
