The FP King
Our name is the New Born Adults. We are from North Carolina, Greensboro (Triads). The group consists of 2 members. My name is M-Laden. I produce most of our tracks and I also rap. Reflexx AKA Flex raps and produces too. We are looking for a deal and as much exposure as possible. So if you listened to some of our tracks and are interested in signing us or colabing drop us a message.
Why this name?
New Born Adults stands for the change a man goes through as growing up. You go from Newborn to Adult which is also parallel to our music. As we grow our music grows. Also every new song we create is like a Newborn Child created by us Adults over 21.
Do you play live?
We have not performed live yet but plan on doing it when our final LP is complete. There are a couple of clubs, bars, and stores in Greensboro, NC, that upcoming artist can perform for free at.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It helps out tremendeously. Years ago the internet was not available for artist to share their music. This is just another added bonus to us .
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Absolutely. We welcome any record label that is interested after listening to our music to give us a call or leave an e-mail.
Your influences?
Our musical influences start with hip-hop. Artist like Nas, Jay-Z, Big Pun, Common, Talib Kweli, Pharoahe Monch, Mos Def, Canibus, Chino XL, Ras Kass, Kanye West, Dr.Dre, Timberland, The Neptunes, Pete Rock, and Wu-Tang. It also ranges to Jazz and Soul music with artis like Bob James, Ahmad Jamal, Marvin Gaye, Al Green, Aretha Franklin and so on...
Favorite spot?
The Carolinas period. Greensboro, High Point, Winston, Charlotte, Raleigh.
Equipment used:
We use computerized programs like Reason, Cubase SX, Frooty Loops, Acid Pro and some harware like The Roland MC8 and the Oxygen 8 Keyboard.
