Hi there, thanks for visiting the DJTheFlex page. DJTheFlex is one-man band *ahem*. Yup, I am one person..a bedroom DJ (or maybe a CJ as I use a computer). I generally mix songs together with free sound samples from various software (e.g. Fruity Loops, Magix, etc). I've done a few with my own vocals..which I'm never going to upload here =D
I also remix tracks by other people. Or should I say..I make mash mixes. I'm from the UK, and I'm 22 years old right now. In the future, I hope to join a real band ^_^
But thanks for visiting my page. I hope you enjoy the mixes I upload to this page, just I have enjoyed mixing them :)

Why this name?
I chose this name a few years back as a Hotmail account name. A cousin of mine back them nicknamed me "Flex" and I really wanted to be a DJ, so it kinda just flowed from there.
Do you play live?
I've never played live, and I never want to either, lol. Even if I form a fully-fledged band, I hope never to get on stage. If I find I have to, I just hope I can entertain the audience well enough. One specific reason I won't play live is because all my mixes are based on my home PC and none are done with a DJ set.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Internet/Mp3 changes the music industry steeply. It allows people to listen to digital copies of music rather than risking scratching original copies. For examples, if a person were to obtain a rare CD he or she would not want to work hard a second time to look for another copy. The laws coming into effect that prevent people making mp3 copies of legally-purchased cds also prevents this. On the other hand, people distribute copies of mp3s without the correct legal rights, allowing music companies to lose money (especially the profits which nobody would be receiving).
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
If it meant big bucks then..yes! :D But as I said before, I use only my PC, so I won't want to play live, and I'd prefer to create tracks within my own time, not within deadlines. I have no experience with turntables and mixers, so I'll keep hoping :D
Band History:
A few years back *cough*:
DJTheFlex starts off as a Hotmail account during college years.
During college:
DJTheFlex purchases a copy of Magix LiveAct V2000 and begins to experiment in DJing (or CJing).
During University:
DJTheFlex finally finds a program to help record his music into mp3 format. DJTheFlex creates an album's music worth of music. Begins experimenting with own vocals, and creates 2 EP-style CDs and 1 single-style CD. Creates 2 remixes. DJTheFlex finds out about SoundClick and decides to register and upload some music samples.

Your influences?
My musical influences come from various places. For example, I've tried mixing different genres, like rock, house, industrial, electronica. The more recent influences are from bands such as Nine Inch Nails, Stabbing Westward, and Crystal Mehtod.
Favorite spot?
My favourite sopt or city? Well, Japan xD I'd love to go there in a few years. I love anime so I love Japan the most. Yup, Japan is a good place to be than the UK.
Equipment used:
None. Except my trusty ol' PC =) I only use software. Although, Magix LiveAct V2000 actually simulated a DJ set in a way.
