February 1st,2007:ok,i know i've been away for a while but i have hot news:THE NEW ALBUM IS DONE!it is titled POINT ZERO and contains 11 tracks for 40 minutes playing time.during the following days i will upload them on the music page so check this out for listening and download the new songs!

Ambient Noir is the main solo project of the italian keyboard player Mattia Luppi.Until now he realised three albums:the self titled Ambient Noir,Nature and The Devil And The Fool.
Why this name?
I choose this name because it sounded good for me!
Do you play live?
I don't play live:ambient is boring to hear live
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think it is useful for new unsigned artists and to listen for eventually buy the albums if the music is good.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
If they pay me a lot of money I could consider to sign for a major,ahahah!
Band History:
I formed Ambient Noir some years ago just to experiment some new sounds and a genre that I usually don't listen to since I am a metalhead.As a keyboard player I love to listen to soundtracks and I consider my music a soundtrack itself.
Your influences?
My main musical influence is the great Mike Oldfield.I appreciate the work of a lot of keyboardists such as Derek Sherinian,Kevin Moore,Nathan Van Hala(Saviour Machine) and Clive Nolan(Arena)even if you cannot hear their influence in my music.
Favorite spot?
My favorite city is Perugia:it is amazing!
Equipment used:
I use a Korg Triton mainly and for recording i use my laptop with some helful software such as reason,live...
