Band History:
Nineteen52 began as a concept back in March 1998 in Mark Murdoch's bedroom.
Keen to follow in the footsteps of his heroes Oasis, Ocean Colour Scene and The Verve, Mark picked up a battered old guitar and started jamming out some tunes.
Over the next few years, Mark took his material to the live circuit, performing acoustic sets across the Midlands. Things really started to take off in January 2002, when Mark got together with his close friend Ryan Mortier. The two friends took to practicing regularly with Mark on acoustic guitar and vocals, and Ryan throwing in some funk elements on his bass guitar.
Then, in early 2003, armed with a number of fine original songs, the pair invited Matt Chambers on drums to complete the line-up.
A flurry of gigs followed, from Telford to Bishops Castle and culminating in a high profile support of The Rain Band at The Little Civic in Wolverhampton.

2003 saw the release of our first ep which is still available, two of the songs from it are available to listen to on the download page.

At the beginning of 2004 we were complete when lead guitarist Dave Chalmers joined the Band. We have also recently finished 3rd in the Telford Rocks battle of the bands competition, held at the Haygate in Wellington.

you join us now as we set to work in the studio on our next EP followed up by the release of our first full album, later this year.
