I decided to do a little solo work on my bass over the Summer. It's not anything terrific, but I like to experiment with different combinations of basses and effects, so I hope you enjoy listening.
Why this name?
It's my name.
Do you play live?
I have played live before, but not recently. I'm a big fan of live playing, because it allows for so much more variation, and you can really be yourself.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think mp3's are great, if used correctly. It's wrong to download an album and sell it to your mates for $5 a pop, but if you want to preview a band, or hear an independent artist, it's the way to go.
Eventually, I think record stores will generally become obsolote, as the internet truly is the next global market.

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes, if I could keep playing what I wanted to play, and that never seems likely on a major label.
Your influences?
More "progressive" musicians are my influences. Jaco Pastorius and Vic Wooten are definitely up there, but also the lesser known players like Justin Meldal Johnson for his use of effects.
I'm also influenced with my slide work by Ben Harper, and some of my effects work by Tom Morello.
