Welcome to my page! I'm a classical/neo-classical composer and guitarist/songwriter that lives in Rhode Island, USA. Here you'll find some of my compositions brought to life via the wonderful world of sampling technology along with some of the various songs I'm apt to write. If you'd like to commission work from me for Film or Advertisement, please feel free to send me an email.
Do you play live?
Currently I play with the band Hemlok. You can check us out at www.hemlok.com or www.myspace.com/hemlokmyspace. I also gig occasionally with Fate's Cruel Joke who you can check out at www.myspace.com/fatescrueljoke. I've been known to make solo acoustic appearances from time to time as well.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I suppose it depends on the nature of the artist. It's a great tool to push your music onto an audience that would have otherwise remained untapped, but conversely piracy isn't really all that cool.
Band History:
B.A. Music from Saint Michael's College (2001)
M.M. Composition from University of Rhode Island (2003)
M.M. Composition from University of Rhode Island (2003)
Your influences?
As a composer I'm influenced by L.V. Beethoven, Gustav Holst, Gustav Mahler, W.A. Mozart, Bela Bartok, Hans Zimmer, John Williams. As a songwriter/rock musician probably Steven Wilson of Porcupine Tree, Joe Satriani, Radiohead, Damien Rice, Jeff Buckley, Tool, and Our Lady Peace to name just a few.
Favorite spot?
I love Providence!
Equipment used:
Reason 3.0, Tascam GigaStudio (Orchestra version), a PodXT Pro, Logic Platinum for a sequencer/recording software. For an audio interface I'm using a MOTU896HD. My studio guitar is primarily a PRS Custom 24 but I've got a few Jacksons that I'll record with too.
