I wanted to get my music out to other web sites besides my own.

I don't play live too much. I'm more of a studio musician. Although live is great because you can feed off the audience.

If I make it big, the first thing I wanna do is build a brand new recording studio inside my 5 bedroom home

Derek started his professional career at the age of 14. Piano was his instrument of choice. While playing for the church chior, Derek became popular among several distinguished recording artist. Artist such as Gladys Knight, Howard Hewette and jazz saxaphonist Ronnie Laws would come to church on a regular basis. It was here Derek developed his God given talent and soon became a studio musician. After touring with serveral local bands he decided to dedicate his skills to the recording studio. His latest Independent project entitled "I'm in the mood" consist of 12 slammin tracks all produced, written and performed by himself. Derek has been playing keyboards since the age of 4.
