Jimmy Morgue's weekend journal entry
We finished principal photography on the 13th episode of the garage. I am so sore that I can't move. I realized that I am not an action star, or that i am just getting old. I have muscles that I forgot that i had. I did jumping and falling, jumping down stairs and throwing people into walls. I even got a beating with a metal rod. This is going to be a great episode. All I have left to do is some ADR in post production.
We arrived at Waffle House around 6am after shooting. Derek and I were both sore and covered in fake blood and bruise makeup. We stumbled moaning and groaning to the table. After we sat down we looked at each other and realized that everyone was staring at us.. then we busted out laughing. We had forgotten about the makeup and didn't realize that we were so sore. It looked like we had just got out of a big scrap. Luckily the Police had left for the morning...lol

LMG
Local Music Guide has posted this in their News Section..
"Jimmy Morgue of the band Monstamorgue recently informed LMG that a new cd would be out in early 2005, and that he is still in the process of recreating his group. Most likely in his own ghoulish image. "

Hey zombies! We had a great show at the ART STUDIO! Band Night of the Living Dead was awesome! All of the bands were great. Special shout out to Rubberhead, and Small Town Massacre! The Lost City Souls were rocking too. If you were there and didn't get a Joe Jitsu CD, shame on you. It is great. All of the bands were great. The night started off with alot of rain. But after about 2 bands it stopped. Big thanks to TIM and the art studio! Gregg!!! PLEASE KEEP BAND NIGHT!!!
Monstamorgue will be playing the FREAK13 CD release Party at the Art Studio on July 31st with Undue and Fung Shui. There are supposed to be other bands anounced later. Freak 13 will be releasing a double disk set Fear no Evil / Drive in Massacre.
After July 31st MM will be taking a break to work on our new CD. We have alot of new material that needs to be put to disk.

Monstamorgue combines Old School agressive thrash/Punk with the classic oldies from the 1950's. Originally created in 2002, these spooky undead fiends rock and roll to the tune of the night with songs based on classic and cheesy horror movies. They have released 2 EP's and are in the works of a full length cd on Shaybar Records!
Why this name?
I was looking for something spooky that had not been used. It was originally going to be called Morgue Monster. No, that wouldn't work. Lanor decided that if we flipped it around that it would roll off the toung better. It did. Remember it's monsta like gangsta.
Do you play live?
Yes. We play in south east texas.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Given a chance for unsined bands (and signed bands) to be heard.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
No
Your influences?
Our Biggest influence is Halloween. We also are into The Misfits, The Ramones, Gotham Rd., Elvis Presley, Del Shannon, Nekromantix.
We have an aggressive sound, fast thrash punk, mixed with groove rock. We have some songs that are very influenced by 1950's rock & roll and doo-whop.
What really inspires us are old horror movies. Our favorites are horror from the 1930's - 1950's then we also like the classics from the 70's and 80's. Modern horror is great too, but our favs are the classics. This is what our main musical influencs is.
