MesonK came from the dictionary. We used to be named Metalling Kids, but we wanted to change it to something more sophistocated...but we also wanted to keep the "M K" thing going, so our guitatist, Mike, looked up in the dictionary and found "K-Meson" which means "an atomic explosion caused by two highly charged particles hitting eachother at very high speeds."

We try to play live as much as possible. For our whole 4 years of being together, we've really only played at school functions. We love it, and we're really trying to work on some cool things to do live! Some special moments is when we play our version of "Wipeout," our drummer, Mike, is known to get up off his drums and find the nearest garbage can to play the famous Wipeout drum solo.

It really gets the music out there. We know there is ALOT of hype about "oh their stealing us! We want our money!"
To those people who say that kind of stuff...don't you think that people like Robert Johnson or Howlin' Wolf would be rolling in their graves right now. Their music was meant to be heard by everyone, regardless of what kind of monies they got for it. Music is not just an art..its a language, and if you decide to share your music with the world, you can be expected to influence others to hear you and want you and your art.
Any kind of exploitation is good. You become more popular that way. We don't care if we're taken and burnt of a cd. We're proud that people want to listen to us in their free time!

OH yeah. We hope to someday. We understand the hard work and determination that artists must achieve before becoming "signed" We're still far from it, but we're getting closer everyday. We love music, and we want to share it with the world. Thats why we made our album. Its all about getting the music out there.
