Michael King Ross is a singer/songwriter whose musical heroes are people like Bob Dylan, John Prine, Tom Waits, Greg Brown, Lucinda Williams, Bruce Springsteen, Robert Earl Keen, Todd Snider, The Rolling Stones, Sonny Boy Williamson, Ramblin' Doug Hamblin, Steve Goodman, Big Bill Broonzy... people like that. Not that he necessarily sounds like any of them, but he sorta fits somewhere into that genre.
Why this name?
Got it off my birth certificate.
Do you play live?
Now and then, in the Twin Cities area. I love playing for an audience.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Gives us a much larger pool of music to wade through before we find the good stuff.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Sure. Have 'em give me a call.
