Dj X is just some crazy high school kid who got way too addicted with Garageband, and decided to make a cd of his stuff.
Why this name?
Ha ha, I couldn't think of a good name for me so I just put X. X as in there is a name to come. When I think of something decent i'll change it. =p
Do you play live?
I dont play anything from this cd live, I mostly do acoustic guitar songs and stuff like that. And I perform only at a nearby rec center for all my friends
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It's definatly letting alot of independant bands and artists get heard easily, which is always a good thing =D
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Probably not...
Your influences?
I go all over the place with the music I listen to. But the kind of music that influenced the cd is probably: Chemical Brothers, A Perfect Circle, Sigur Ros, Daft Punk, and Dj Mystic.
Favorite spot?
My trip to Paris was pretty freakin nifty.....
Equipment used:
I use the Garageband application on my iBook, and just compose songs using whatever instruments I have handy, and the loops that come with it. Which is why I don't play my electronic-y songs live, as it would consist of me just hitting play on my comp and sitting there. =p
