New York's Premier Rap/Rock Band. Four guys from the Upstate NY (Albany)blending rap and metal. It's earilest conception started over 10 years ago. Finally a completed line up has emerged.....Prepare to be Lifted!
Why this name?
Sounded like a cool mix of words...Dead...Lift...ones going down and the other's going up.
Do you play live?
Playing live is what it's all about. The four of us have a blast. We have played at Northern Lights (Clifton Park, NY), Saratoga Winners (Saratoga Springs, NY) , Valentine's (Albany, NY) and a couple of others. They all have their own "special " moments LOL.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It's great for the band that's trying to make it. You can have someone on the other side of the world listening to your songs. It's gotta be difficult for the national acts that are trying to sell their records.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Hell Yeah!! That's what we're here for !!! We would all love for this to be our "full time" job. That's everyones dream in Dead-Lift...to make music our career, not hobby.
