A.M.S.G. is the Dark Digital Mayhem of Rev. Robert Reynoso. It's a mix of Industial sound and beat w/ hard guitars and distorted vocals. In the fashion of bands like Bile, Samael, NIN, and Ministry.
~Strains Across Time~ is the first release from this new artist on the scene. It offers a health dose of what is to come from A.M.S.G. This first demo is only four songs for now, but more is to come in the future w/ a second release of this album.
Let's get started in knowing Rev. Reynoso and his project A.M.S.G.

Why this name?
I got A.M.S.G. from a occult book on Satanism. It's a perversion of the motto of the Jesuit order. A.M.S.G. is the first letters of Ad Majorem Satanae Gloriam {'To the Greater Glory of Satan'}
Yes, I am a Satanist; but it is not all me or my music is about.

Do you play live?
As A.M.S.G.; no I have not played live. I'm still working on the music for the full length album.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The Internet and MP3s are both amazing tools for the Artists and the theives. By theives, I'm not just refering to the guy in his room downloading on 'Kazaa'. I also mean the Record Company guys. Through the internet information and opinions are always being exchanged. A great band in Southern California can now be heard by a new fan in China; but his music can still be stolen by the guy next door, using the same tools.
Right now I do not make any money from my music. I'm still working to support myself. But, there are great {and poor} bands out there who do make their money from there craft. And again I have to say that I'm not just speaking of the MTV artist who have the big time record deal; I'm talking about the bands on independant labels. People always seem to forget those guys {even if those guys are all they listen to}
Anyway, I think you mean more then just 'stealing' music. So, I'll say that the internet is a fantastic way for the independent artist to be heard.
I do have to say, though, now it seem still hard to be heard because there are som many of us.

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
As long as it's Nothing Records. {LOL}
Yes, I would. As long as my vision of what A.M.S.G. is suppost to be is respected.

Band History:
Well, in a funny way, A.M.S.G. is me -- so, my history is A.M.S.G.'s history.
It's been a long work in progress. Every album, band and creative idea I've had I see in some way adding up to A.M.S.G. Every instrument I saved up to get; every lesson I learned; every song I've written.

Your influences?
Huge Nine Inch Nails fan. Would really love to work w/ Trent Reznor. Also heavily into Bile, KMFDM, The Electric Hellfire Club, Moonspell, Ministry, Velvet Acid Christ, Samael, London After Midnight, David Bowie, Garbage, Marilyn Manson {Yes, go ahead and judge me}, The Kovenant, Christian Death, Typhon Vortex, Tiamat, Cradle of Filth, Danny Elfman, Danzig, Etc. Etc.
Favorite spot?
Well, I love both Hollywood and Las Vegas (Sin City} a lot. But, I have to say that no place really comes out in my mind right now as my 'Favorite'.
Equipment used:
The two big things right now are my B.C. Rich Warlock Guitar & my DR-5 Rythem Machine. I have even used those cheap keyboards to can get a Circuit City. Amazingly I've found that a lot of the sounds are the same as the ones that cost 3 or 4 x as much. Right now though I am working of getting the Roland JP-8000 down for some new work.
Anything else...?
What else can I add but; Thank You for taking the time to read this. I do hope that all who hear my music will enjoy it and keep checking back for up dates and more information.
