play lo-fi play hi-fi  I'm sorry Jenny, but I think it's love.
Any serious artist involved in a collaborative effort will at times question the value of said effort and the validity of any suggestion of direction, form, or theory outside of his own. That said, I've made this page as an outlet for the side of myself that passively refuses help and criticism.
A strong piece of music will flow like a river, this especially true when it is stripped down to its most basic form: in this case, guitar and vocals. Any addition to this will do one of two things:
Ideally, orchestration should be used only as a means of strengthening the foundation, or, reinforcing the walls of the river. But more often than not, each outside contribution will change the piece's direction, thereby weakening or at least diluting its overall structural, emotional, and thematic clarity and strength.
I play in a band, and am involved in a few other "projects." This is the only one in which I have absolute say. Anything posted here comes either because it categorically failed to fit everywhere else, or I worry too much about its integrity to open myself to suggestion... yet. At most, I'll use piano, guitar, and a drum machine here, but for the most part I'll tend to keep it all as "stripped" as possible. It's easier that way, at least.
Why this name?

It helps me.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I'm comfortable now.
