Hi, i am a 22 year old attending the University of Colorado. I live in Palo Alto California though. I love electronic music, and love to mess around with sound. The songs on here I created between the ages of 13-17. Listening to these tracks now makes me laugh as well as remember the early production memories that went with the tracks. Keeping this site for kicks.
Why this name?
Element Y : My music is a must to continue living. It is as essential as oxygen. Honestly, when a friend of mine started making music back when we were 14, we thought of moronic names, and i kept mine for the hell of it
Do you play live?
I dj and do live sets - not this stuff of course haha. I also produce newer stuff that well... sucks less and is not on here. But I promote and book artists more so than dj.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think the idea behind letting upcoming artists put their talent online is a great chance for the community to hear underground to mainstream upcoming music. This site was a great way to introduce myself back then to online music sharing and the edm community. Made great connections this way. Thank you soundclick.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I would really like to get an opportunity to get a record deal. It would be a life dream in the making. Though simply making music that entertains people is a dream all together.
Band History:
Started to mess around with synths at the age of 9. A the age of 13 I learned how to use VST's and plug ins on the computer to produce tracks.
I am continuing this passion through one of my majors in college - Music Production.
Your influences?
wow where would i start. Infected Mushroom, astral projection, Sean Tyas, the bay area trance crew like Lukasz, Cloudskipper, Mars, Mystre, Dyloot... and many many more.
Favorite spot?
That one strip joint in Vegas...
Equipment used:
A very top of the line synthesizer from either toys r us or target (At the time of these tracks).

At the time of these tracks, it was all pretty much FL Studio. Now a days I am using a mixture of Protools,Live,Reason, and Cubase with a Midi Controller.
Anything else...?
