Wasup, this is Dark Shadow representin for tha O.M.C. (Open Mic Crew). I rap along wit Lawz Spoken. We have been makin tracks for about 3 years now.

Why this name?
Open Mic Crew came naturally. Lawz Spoken and I use to chat in rap chats, but alot of peeps would hog tha mic. We figured we would create our own room to have more peeps on tha mic. It became known as the Open Mic, and we jus created to our group's name.
Do you play live?
Not at the moment.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet and mp3 changes the music industry because wether people think it is good or bad, it lets people preview songs before they actually buy the cd. It also helps get names out there.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I would sign just to start off from them, and then make it on my own from there.
Your influences?
My influences happen to be Nas and Talib Kweli. I also like K-otix and AZ.
Favorite spot?
My favorite spot on earth happens to be my home town, Southern California.
Equipment used:
I use an ordinary microphone, my computer,along with software (Fruity Loops, Cool Edit, etc.)I also work with Lawz Spokens 808 Digital recording studio.Technic turntables.Yamaha Keyboard.
