Who is Lost Product? I’m an amateur Hip-hop/ Rap producer striving to achieve success. As most Hip-hop / Rap producers do, I began my career in music as a DJ. I grew up in a small town in Arkansas called Helena or Hell-town if you know the history. It’s a small town with a big city attitude that sits on the banks of the mighty Mississippi River, southeast of Little Rock and is about forty-five minutes from Memphis. It’s the heart of the Delta, a Blues lover’s paradise. At an early age, I was spoon-fed Blues, Jazz, Soul, and Funk. In fact, if you look it up, Helena has one of the world’s largest annual Blues festivals (King Biscuit Blues Festival). With an abundance of musical influences in my blood, it was my destiny to present my own sound to the Hip-hop / Rap world. Get ready to witness, Lost Product...
Why this name?
Hip-Hop/Rap has lost its voice; its rugged sound, and most of all its character. Lost Product is the flicker at the end of the tunnel that will guide only the true to the light.
Do you play live?
Most Hip-hop / Rap producers are doing a lot of sampling right now which is fine, but I'd rather not have to pay the royalties... What ever happened to beating the pads, playing the keys, turning the knobs? Stop being lazy!
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The Internet is a MONSTER! We should all thank the US Military for it...
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
On the 33rd...
Band History:
Still being written... I am currently deployed to Iraq for my third tour of war... Unlike the many that claim to be, I'm a "Real Soldier." On 16 March 2006, I lost a Soldier over here. Please pray for his family and continue to pray for the rest of us here.
