Formed from the cream of Manchester’s music scene REVEAL are creating a new take on Indie/Rock music. Infectious beats, soaring guitars and sublime melody have made REVEAL the most captivating band to come out of Manchester in recent years.
Why this name?
Think it was the only one we could agree on!! (laughs). Nah we liked the idea of "revealing" our new tunes to the masses - and maybe suprising people who have seen us in other bands before...
Do you play live?
Coming out of Manchester we tend to play in the North West of the UK mainly - although just did a great gig in Leicester Square, London that went down really well. Folk can go to www.revealonline.co.uk/gigs.htm for our latest gigs.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think bands will be supported by smaller groups of hardcore fans. The Internet allows you to find out about acts that would never get a shot in the printed music press, which I think is a good thing. The record companies who moan about piracy are talking bollocks, most people want to own the real album and if they dropped their proces a bit theyd see sales soar. CD's are a rip off in the UK. MP3 is great for us as we use our site to get our latest demos out quickly
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Hell yeah if the deal was right (smiles) but we're thinking of setting up our own label as theres loads of good stuff coming out of Manchester that is being overlooked by the majors. We plan to record and distribute our music with or without major label backing. We recently had a tune (Watch Your Back) released thru independant label Chromium Records in Liverpool UK that is doing well

Equipment used:
Usual suspects really, Marshall and Fender amps, I use an ES335. I got a Line6 modulation pedal recently that I'm into at the minute. You'd have to ask the rest of the guys what they use, Steve (drummer) is pretty geeky when it comes to hardware..
