What happens when people from two bands come together to make music? No, not S.O.D. I'm talking about Splastik. Back in the day, Jethro, Eric, and a bassist by the name of Sean Smith started a band. They got together and started playing songs. They later ended up not playing with eachother and Sean gave up playing the bass. Jethro continued to play guitar and Eric kept with drums. The Gerbil and Paul Miller started learning to play guitar and Chico bought a bass and started to learn how to play it. They got together and formed a band called Elysium. They needed a drummer so they found a guy named Ben Bingham who said he'd play drums for us but he never ended up getting drums. Elysium never did play together but some people still have Elysium stickers that were handed out to friends 2 years ago. According to the old Splastik page, Splastik started on May 1998. It happened when Paul Miller, The Gerbil, Chico, Jethro and Eric got together and decided to form a band. The name was made by Jethro and Eric. We started practicing together, really we just fooled around and learned parts of songs. We sucked. We decided we didn't need three guitars so we kicked out Paul and made him our roadie.
