Why this name?
It's a mixture between Country and Bluegrass, so we call it Newgrass. The name Newgrass was put on progressive bluegrass and really identifies our music/my style as well as Acoustic Country & Americana I think they call it.
But then again Bluegrass is just a name it's still COUNTRY MUSIC!
Do you play live?
We play Nationally, and Internationally, I also do some Benefits occasionally.
We also have been criticized for our support against Child Abuse, and Pedophiles, as well as Domestic Violence, and harsher penalties. There is nothing more special than our children. Just listen to "Through The Eyes Of A Child". And we support anything to do with Cancer I beat cancer and have had freinds and family die from this terrible disease Support your local organizations, I also ABHOR Child Abusers and Molesters I am a strong advocate against Child Abuse, Domestic Violence, and Animal Abuse. we also SUPPORT OUR TROOPS 100%and Veterans. GOD BLESS THEM ALL FOR PROTECTING OUR FREEDOM! God Bless BLACKWATER!
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
In ways it's bringing the music back to the people, if you are touring and have good fan support MP3 won't hurt anybody, it's just a new and advanced way of people being able to listen, and purchase the music. Anytime something new comes out there is always a fight to supress it. It also allows less fortunate people the availability to download free music that they possibly could not buy the CD.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Only if it would benefit KMA Records and president Keith Bradford he's stuck by us through the hard times thick and thin and Keith if you read this if it wasn't for you I wouldn't be where I am today I love you brother. He would have to have a Major role in the deal, I have currently been RE-Signed with KMA. They always hae done me right, Fair and HONEST as well as having a great studio and also a great engineer Mike Bradford who I also love like a brother
