We are taking this weekend off, but next week will begin practice, its gona be tough cause of the big show at big Daddy’s. Guess what, we finally found a drummer. But the search is still going for a bassist. Peace

“HISTRIONIK were doing it big,” as Rodger would say, and yes, we are. The show was awesome. We had a decent amount of people show up for a 10:00 PM gig at a bar. People, come earlier next time we won’t bite. Hey but thanks every body that showed up. Rodger, Juan, Marshal, Jill and her friend (sorry I don’t remember your name), Cowboy Steve’s friends (sorry man), Lena’s sweet heart. Hey next show, May 30th in Melbourne, FL at Papa’ J place. Email us for more info. We are also selling our CD’ for $3 and T- Shirts for $5. If your not in Tallahassee but are interested in our merch, email us and we'll see what we can do.

Since our last post, we've played at Chubby's twice, Big Daddies once, Jack Rabbits in Jacksonville, and are coming up on our next show Nov. 2nd at Big Daddies for Election Day. We are currently being sponsored by Citizen's Change, the "Vote or Die" P.Diddy thing. Also, since our last post, we've added Will (drums) and Justin (bass). We are currently working on new music, and will be in the studio soon to record our full album.

We're almost done recording, and should have the finished product by the end of March. Since we've started recording, we've actually written some new material that sounds awesome. Unfortunately, we aren't recording it! Not as of yet, anyway. Look on the bright side: you get to hear it live, which is an even better reason to come out and watch our shows! Speaking of live shows, we have been recording some of our live shows, and may consider releasing them as a bonus to up and coming album. We have also created our own website, which as of right now, sucks. Peace

-Juan is finishing up his engineering degree
-Will will be graduating soon with a business degree
-Derek is doing music in Israel and we sure do miss him!
-Justin got a big people job in Jersey and we miss him too!

We flipped through the dictionary and felt that the name fit our personalities well.

We've performed at Big Daddy's, Union Green for Hemp Fest, The Warehouse, Aristotles, Cool Grindz Cafe, Pappa Joe's Beach Bash, Chubby's, Jack Rabits, Floyd's Music store and more!
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It will help expose more underground artist and give listeners an opportunity to discover more music.

Band History:
Histrionik began in November of 2003, when singer Lena McAneny and guitarist Juan Pineda came in contact with each other while searching for other musicians to play music with. A few months later, they picked up synth guitarist Derek, who played bass until a bassist could be found. Shortly after Derek's involvement began, the trio recorded their first demo (some scratch tracks are still on the page). They played their first live show as Histrionik on March 20, 2004 at FSU/NORML's Hemp Fest.
During the summer of 2004, Justin and Will were added to the line up. With Justin on bass, Derek moved to synth guitar, and Will took up the drums. Histrionik was now ready for bigger things. With a new lineup of songs, including Fireflies and Autumns Day, as well as the "classics" Chameleon and Free, Histrionik began to gig steadily around the Tallahassee, and has played as far as Jacksonville and Melbourne(FL). The band recorded their first album "Unreleased" in Melbourne at The Zone with Mark Brasil, who has worked with Incubus, the Deftones, and Taproot.

Our music is pretty diverse...it's a spread from jazz/acoustic rock to a hard, heavy sound...then blend in some latin influence
