Whats really good? Eastwick stand up! Jersey stand up! How's everybody doing out there? For all ya'll dudes and ladies (gotta love the girls) that don't know me, my name is Louguz and I'm an upcoming artist from jersey. As far as rapping and music is concerned, I really became interested in the culture and ideaology as a whole when I first listened to one of Biggies classics, Ready to Die. After that I was hooked... it was a complete album and a inspiration to myself to follow this movement we call hip hop. From that point on I knew that hip hop was life to me and it was only a matter of time till I actually started writing random lyrics and discovering myself as an artist. I ain't gonna front though, my first rhyme I ever wrote was whackkk! haha, just think of a nursery rhyme with curses. Anyway little by little I kept practicing and perfecting my flow. I've been rhyming since 98' but I recently started taking this rap sh*** serious in 03' when I was introduced to my friend and counterpart, offenon. Funny the way we met cause I was known (and still am) as a battle rapper and off was a rapper who freestyled for fun. So, as a result of this, my brother from another, d unknown, encouraged us to battle each other for fun but we met up and decided that we were creatively alike and chose to put a positive spin on it and make beautiful music together... hence 908 divison. Ever since then, we've been pumping hits and tracks at our very own studio! (Hi haters). So with that in the eggshell, eastwick records is born and our first mixtape, is released to the streets pushing 100 copies in a few days and receiving exceptional but critical reviews. I love it, and i plan on continuing this dream and turning it into a reality. But enough of that, ya'll already know we here and we ain't going nowhere no time soon. So for the fans and supporters, thank you, and for the haters get used to us, Holla, its your boy Luguz!
Why this name?
Well, it was crazy how my name came along cause i'm a real laid back kinda dude and I'm simple when it comes to things. So, I decided to go with Big Lou as my rapping name but it wasn't enough juice in it (no homo), so my crew, 908 divison, started f***ing around calling me Luguz which was inspired from our CEO and fourth member, Gambino. It started as a joke but actually turned into something cause it started making sense because my first name is Lou and the first three letters of my last name is guz, so put it together you got, Luguz. The name itself is a combination and a representation of my flow and name. Luguz for the name and Luguz cause I spit rapid heat so they say, and it shows a double meaning. There's a english lesson haha.
Do you play live?
Man, listen.... if you got a mic a turntable and a crowd, trust me we will rock. As far, as doing shows, I love it man, I love the energy and the support from the fans. One special moment I remember was when I did a performance of I need a girl on stage at my school, Kean. It was crazy cause I had the chrisma and the timing even though it wasn't my song I still ripped sh*** it was crazy.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I mean I think it changes the music industry for the better because nowadays, people aren't buying albums, so they download and burn, but the twist is that they might download a few songs that they are feeling and if they understand the work and dedication bulit into making an album they would appreciate it and support the album. Either way its a win win because they either don't buy it and burn it and listen to it anyway or they download it and feel it and support it, u know.... aight
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Without question! You know we are signed to eastwick records but if a major recording company puts a lucrative deal on the table we would accept only if the numbers are right and we have total creative control of the music

Scroll your sh*** up wit your mouse and read the bio
Your influences?
Well as I said in the intro, Biggie was my first major influence but my favorite rapper of all time is jigga jay-z. He is the epitome of a complete rapper. flow, content, timing, wit, etc. Other than that, I listen to Joe budden, Biggie, Dip set, State p, mos def, pun, nore, dmx (but he fell off), eminem, and some more but I'm too tired to think lol, as far as r and b any thing that drops panties, alternative for my white girls, and spanish for my mami chulas holla
