Brian and I are brothers and we both grew up listening to the same type of music so naturally we decided to form the band together, When I met Jeremiah and Carl it was hard to find musicians who wanted to play this type of music so I jumped on the first chance I had when I met them, when they showed they were interested in this type of music.
Do you play live?
We like to play live as much as possible,
the problem is though there are lots of bands around
here so it's hard to get shows on a regular basis, my
favorite club is Studio 7 it's got a big stage, nice
system and all the people who work there are cool, I
love playing live because of the reaction we get from
people who haven't seen a band play thrash metal in a
while, my favorite moment is when we played Studio 7
and the 20 people who were there started going crazy
and starting a mosh pit, that was a blast
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
it makes it easy for bands to
promote their music and to do it on a independent
level, the only problem I have with it as someone who enjoys listening to music is that any idiot can put his music on it and label this type of genre and talk it all up but when i listen to it, the music sucks. That's what I hate all the same shitty bands talking up their shitty music, it makes me not want to surf
for music.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
it would have to be a real sweet deal, i've
heard to many stories about bands signing deals, and not being able to pay back the loans because they aren't making enough money to pay them off. Plus I feel the major labels don't give a f*** about you only making money off you. I'd prefer signing to a bigger independent label.
Band History:
Formed in the recesses of western Washington Fallen Angels has evolved into a metal band to be reckoned with. Fueled by such thrash bands as Slayer, Sepultura, Exodus, Megadeth...etc Fallen Angels have come into the speed metal genre with their own twist. Founded by Erik Hansen (guitars/vocals) and Brian Hansen (drums), Fallen Angels sound quickly grew and was only strengthen by the addition of Jeremiah Reiman (guitars) and Carl Larsson (bass). The strength of Fallen Angels lies in their tightly crafted orchestrations and their thought provoking lyrics. They always pour their heart and soul into the music and captivate audiences everywhere. Fallen Angels is a thrash band straight out of the 80's metal scene with the ability to pack as big of a punch as the founding fathers of the thrash metal genre.
Your influences?
I love the 80's thrash metal scene, I think this was the most influential metal to ever come out and it my opinion the best type of metal to come out. I love the speed of it, the orchestration of the songs, the intelligent lyrics; everything about it kicks ass. My favorite band from this genre is Megadeth although we play a style similar to Sepultura or Slayer; Megadeth will still remain my favorite band. Dave Mustaine was a true visionary and did so much for metal. Influences from this genre are Sepultura, Slayer, Megadeth, Exodus, Testament, Anthrax, and Metallica.
