The Fashioned is a 3 piece, all female rock band based out of Southern California. We are not emo. We are not nu-metal. We have no desire to scream out every lyric to our songs. We just like good music.
Why this name?
Well by the year 2003, nearly every possible band name had already been taken or used in some way, shape or form. Ummm...except this one.
Do you play live?
What normal band doesn't play live? We play mostly So. Cal venues for the time being.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet is probably one of the most easily acessible forms of communication. It allows us to sample, burn, download, etc. our favorite songs by our favorite artists and then some. Its like god's gift to musical advancement.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Why the hell not? Some people may say its "selling out" or what not, but if you're confident with your ability and you enjoy what you do, then why not take advantage of a situation that would allow you to spread your creation to as many people as virtually possible?
Your influences?
We all have various tastes in all areas of the musical spectrum, ranging from Nirvana to Minor Threat to Rilo Kiley to Hole to Fleetwood Mac to The Vines...
Favorite spot?
Any place that allows us to blast our instruments at a considerably high decipal.
