iZZiE Voodoo...

A name that sticks in your head. A name that came out of the mouth of the mate of a girl who went to great lengths to ignore all musical trend and go her own way- and said because he felt that what he had heard had cast a spell.

And boy, does it ever?

But it's not something to be feared (oh no) since iZZiE's music conjures something that stays effervescing in your head in a pop induced frenzy for days, tantalizing your musical tastebuds with flavours from electronica to electro through dance into rock and even Goth with a buzz of industrial and a tinge of something sparkly from the 80's.

Could you fail to like it?

Last year’s highly acclaimed album, described by journalists as ‘modern fire with 80s electro, laced with punk energy and pop seasoning’; ‘slickly delivered rock electronica’; and ’an exhilarating and electrifying outing from this visionary digital experimentalist’ was deleted in the new year at iZZiE's direction due to legal complications with it's release label and in her view, 'shoddy mastering'. Some of it's songs though (the highly popular and rocky 'Pyromania', the 2007 Song of the Year award winner, 'Sound', and occasionally the spine chillingly vivid 'Dry Heat') are lurking in the setlist.

This year, attached for now to her own record label, Lippy Trip PR (assigned to promote electronica crossover bands in connection with her highly acclaimed worldwide, and genre busting artist promotion podshow, VQS New Music), iZZiE is taking every live show by storm, parading her brand new EP material with stage cohorts, Lawrence Mahmood- Electric Bass and Sarah Bird- Second Vocal, with as much determination and vibrance as you might expect from someone who is also steeped in Martial Arts and theatre.

We, then? We stand enlightened and refreshed and we watch the show unfold until the right major label deservedly swings in her direction.
Why this name?
izzie is my name. The Voodoo bit sort of came later- no I don't practice Voodoo, Hoodoo, or anything else.
Do you play live?
Yes along with Lol Mahmood on electric bass and Sarah Bird (second vocals). Anywhere in the UK (or further considered)
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Of course, depending on the contract.
