Yerp! This is Fam Nice the Magnificent from North Philly born and raised. I've been in luv with hip hop ever since I could formulate a sentence. I'm an emcee at heart and an emcee first; however, I'm also a producer and mixing engineer (alot of my soundclick work isn't from my era of attaining mixing knowledge so please don't judge my work based on that. Much of my newer work is a reflection of my ear). At anyrate, I'm an iindie artist living out my dreams ... hopefully you'll vibrate on the same frequency I'm on to see where my music is going and that my intentions are all about uplifting.

Why this name?
The Magnificent FAM NICE? You'll have to listen to my music to grasp what lays behind the moniker Nice (lol)
Do you play live?
For booking and appearances, contact my manager Jarvis Love at jlove@famnice-online.com. Currently, my location is in South Carolina. Performance prices are negotiable unless you're Nas and the likes ... (lol) basically, just contact my manager.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Mp3's give artist another way to get through to their listeners who otherwise would not go out to stores to purchase their music. It has made buying music and hearing new releases very convenient for all to hear. So in this era, as an independant artist, I have to say that putting my music on soundclick is the best thing I've ever done. The downside to mp3s of course is the quality loss ... lack of depth, space, and the additional artifacts that compressing music files introduces.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Music isn't my only hustle; therefore, it depends on how much artistic freedom I am given. I'm glad that someone is listening ... eventually someone who has the means to invest in something special will stumble across my page and realize that what they have on their hands is an artist that can possibly change the world (a little dreamy right? well phuck yo couch).
Band History:
I have alot of close friends in the hip hop game and have been using the net as of lately to try out new styles and receive feedback. I represent New World Chaos Records.
Your influences?
My artist influences are the hip hop legends such as Rakim Allah, Big Daddy Kane, KRS1, Nas, Black Thought, Ghost Face, Sha Stimuli and the whole Wu Tang Clan to name a few. As a beat programmerproducer, I'm a fan of 9th Wonder, Premo, Pete Rock, Just Blaze, and Alchemist.
Favorite spot?
Philly my place of birth most definitely. North Philly, specifically. I am who I am because of North Philly. 25 Allegheny Ave. to 22nd Lehigh Ave. Philthadelphia to the fullest!
Equipment used:
Reaper and Pro-Tools TDM for tracking. FL Studio 7, Reason 3, Sound Forge 8. Shure SM58 microphone, Shure BG1.1, Marshall MXL990, ART Pro MPA GOLD, Farmer RNC 1773, M-Audio Firewire 410. A host of software plugins for mixing and mastering.
Anything else...?
I'd like say peace to the Godz and Earths and Rahubaat to all my a-alikes out there. As far as lthe beats and yrics ... I hope that the music speaks for that. Some of y'all might have peeped me on rap forum boards such as Ell Oh, New Jerusalem, Ground Zero or Sacred Society, RapMusic.com, Metaphorical Siccness, the Great BGOL community, etc., under different names, most notably Fam Nice, Slim Cutty, Lord Supreme or Lord Kazmere ... if you have, you know that I'm a legend in cyberspace and net boards for battling (beat battles and emcee battles). Most people don't respect that but in time it's going to pay off.
