Formed at the begining of 2004, Josh B, Adam, and Erv got together in a borrowed practice space and started the foundation of a band. One week later Mike got ahold of Erv and they met up and jammed. Two days later all four of the boys met in Erv's bedroom and formed The Violets Fall. Deciding early on that this band was meant to be a two guitar band the search began for the second guitar player. After talks with a handful of guitar players around the midwest Josh K. was asked to come and play. After having one practice Josh K was added to the band.
