We work with a lot of local artists who want to try to make it in the rap game. Over the years we've collected up some great beats that never made it onto an album dispite their phat sound. Now we're opening them up to you to buy at a minimum cost. We're working on opening up our services to artist requests, just drop us a line and we can talk about what you'd like in a beat. - D Rock
Why this name?
I'm a nerd at heart and since I own the studio I decided to name it L33T (pronounced Leet) Studios. B-Mc-C has learned to deal with it.
Do you play live?
I'm a studio monkey for the most part, but B and I have done some live sets. After one of our best showes I was hauled off by the police for questioning.... They got nothin on me.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Makes it much easier for me to steal music, now I don't have to out run that guy at Sam Goodie.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Are you nutz? They have money, I NEED money. Music equipment, cars, food, school, paintball gunz, they all cost money. Unless they want me to dress up in some crappy out fit and lip sync with four other pop bi***es.
Band History:
The past few years are a haze.... I think I graduated.
Your influences?
BT, Paul Oakenfold, Timbaland, Neptunes, Dr. Dre, Fatboy Slim.
Favorite spot?
Maple Grove, it's where all the cool soccer moms hang out. ;-)
Equipment used:
Two different PC set ups, each featuring Reason, Acid, Orion and other software platforms. Some vintage synths (I think I got one here that's as old as me). Some turntables, keyboards, a mic... I have a lot of junk around now that I think about it.
