I am a country music singer/songwriter in Graham, NC. I'm originally from Winston-Salem, NC and, after spending time in Nashville in for awhile, I've moved back to NC. I've been playing and writing country music since I was in high school in the early 1990's. My greatest ambition is to play the Grand Ole Opry. To stand where legends like Hank Williams and Haggard played would make my life complete. I'm working hard at this career and I truly believe that deep down that God put me on this earth to sing country music. Only time will tell - I'm doing all I can do to make it happen. Do you play live?
I've played small gigs in the Winston-Salem, NC area. I've also performed at writers events in Nashville.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet has just been amazing for my music. I've had so many emails from people all over the U.S. and overseas. It's amazing and just a few years ago these folks would've never known I existed!
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Absolutely. I think we all dream of that happening. However, as I mentioned, if I could just play the Opry one time I think my life would be complete. That is goal #1 - the other stuff can come later.
Your influences?
Alan Jackson is my greatest influence. He keeps it simple. I think he's the most brilliant country songwriter since Merle Haggard. He sings "real" songs - story songs - and that's what country music is all about.
Favorite spot?
Pigeon Forge, TN. It's where I spent my honeymoon and will always be the most special place to me. I hope to reside there one day. That would be a nice place to grow old - it's so relaxing.
