In October 1999 - disillusioned with our lack of success in the music industry - we put nearly twenty years worth of mastertapes into a box and buried it on a hillside in Galloway, Scotland. The original idea was to spread it to the four extremes of Scotland - furthest north, furthest south, east and west. We started in the south at Southerness in Galloway. (Being piss-poor at geography, we later discovered that this wasn't in fact the southernmost point in Scotland.)
Recently, my partner in musical-crime came across some rough demos of these songs and persuaded me to make one last effort to irritate the general public with our work. The ghost of home-recording reared it's ugly head and The Euphoria Project coughed and spluttered it's way back to the surface.

Why this name?
It was inappropriate at the time... and has grown steadily more so.
Do you play live?
We played live a lot in our early days, but gave up when we realised that most of the other local bands could play much better than us. Our worst moment was playing synthesized machine-gun fire at an ex-serviceman's club in Ayr (1982) which led to several vets diving for cover behind the tables. The highlight was playing live (in the pouring rain) on the summit of Arran's highest peak in 1997. No-one turned up for that one.
