NEWS: While the 13th Disciple's debut album, A New Day, is making some noise internationally, the 13th Disciple is now working on his next album, The Prodical Son. The next album is going to be more inspiring, more hard hitting, just more of everything. Not to mention the 13th Disciple will be producing the album Himself, and also with a new production team, and more artists have now joined the project, like Eibee from Get Real Records, and others that shall be named in the near future. The Prodical Son is projected to be released in September or October. That's all the news so far, but more news shall come about the new album. And about A New Day, the song Souljahs has hit number 4 in Australia, and the 13th Disciple has a huge gig set for May 26th-28th at Gospel Night 2006, and it's happening at Circus Circus Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, NV. And the surprise about that show is that the 13th Disciple is going to perform a single from the new album. So Las Vegas, this is one event that won't stay in Vegas.
Why this name?
The Lord gave me this name because Paul in the Bible was told to be the 13th Disciple and God called me like Paul, on the side of a street.
Do you play live?
I've had a load of gigs last summer including my first TV interview and I had a blessed time, not to mention all the kids, teens, adults, young seniors, etc. who was blessed by the message. I have more things instore, not to mention the HUGE boost my career will have in 2005, God said it, and IT WILL BE DONE!!!!
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
MP3 helps artists like myself to get discovered and it makes our dreams into a reality in a simple way.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
MOST DEFINITLY YES
Band History:
The 13th Disciple, born in Forestville, Maryland, started his gospel rap career when he was 14, after he was saved and spirit filled at the Ark of Safety Christian Church, where Bishop C. Anthony Muse is Founder and Senior Pastor. At first, it was just something to do, and then when he rapped his first gospel rap song called, "They Shall Fall", everyone started saying that this young man is going to become one of the greatest and hottests gospel rap artists in the world. The 13th Disciple started performing at various church events and his name started spreading around Maryland and DC like a virus that refuses to be destroyed, performing on the same stages with Keith Childress, St. Mark, Ason, and so many more artists. Challenges stayed working against the 13th Disciple's vision and career, but he never gave up and kept going because the vision that God wants this young man to fulfill is more important than anything in the world. The 13th Disciple's main goal is soul winning, by not only spreading the word of God through music, but also through action and by the love he has for God and for His people. New Year's Eve night after the clock confirmed the beginning of 2005, went down in the 13th Disciple's book as his official debut before completing what is already considered the best gospel rap CD out here, A New Day. Soon he began a label called Dub Duce Records consisting of one rapper and 2 singers, all gospel. The 13th Disciple hopes to one day perform on the same stage and the same CD with his influences like Fred Hammond, Ambassador, Yolanda Adams, Mary Mary, just to name a few. Keep a close eye on this young man of God, he may become a legend in the history books of the newly found Gospel Rap music world.
