The Citations are four guys who met while working at a legal publisher in San Francisco. As of this pressing of Soccer Mom, they continue to hold down their day jobs.
Band History:
It all started in 1995, when Michael Christensen and Chris Santella began talking about music while both were working at a leading legal publisher. Before long they were jamming in the company conference room overlooking the San Francisco Bay...but a company relocation brought silence.

Two years later, Santella's phone rang with Christensen asking if Santella was interested in joining a band. Soon, the twosome enlisted fellow employees, Jeff Sang and Jody Pollak. After almost two years of once-a-week practices at San Francisco's Lennon Studios, The Citations went into Wally Sound Studios in Oakland, and recorded 11 songs in four hours, all live. (Two of the songs were re-recorded in September '99 with back-up singer Alice Forsyth (she should probably sing lead!), and released their first CD-Soccer Mom.

The title song received a week of airplay on the National Public Radio program, "Car Talk". And The Citations have been featured in leading legal publications, such as Law Technology News, Cyber, Esq. and Law Office Computing. It's safe to say that they are one of the biggest musical acts to ever hit the legal profession.
